How to take care of orchids?

Proper care is crucial for newly planted orchids to encourage root formation. Below are key care tips:

  1. Watering:
    • Water evaporates more quickly from a basket than a pot. Orchids grown in baskets require more frequent watering.
  2. Weeding:
    • Remove weeds regularly to keep the orchids weed-free.
  3. Nutrient Supply:
    • Apply manure such as bone meal or compost for better growth. Use fertilizer in the ratio of 10:10:10 (N:P:K).
    • Mix ½ to 1 teaspoon of fertilizer with 4.5 L of water and apply to the plants at 15-day intervals. Nutrients can be sprayed or applied directly to the compost. Avoid overapplication, as it can harm the plants.
